Home Home
Home is defined as a place where a thing is specially common or one can rest and be safe. Although the selections for this project were gathered from sources of considerable geographic distance, music seems to be a thread that brings everyone to a common place. "This recording is a pleasant excursion through a variety of genres including Irish harp and fiddle music, English polkas, hornpipes and folk melodies, as well as some American gems."

Kudos:
"Linda Thomas is a traditional musician from the heartland of America. As a result, she has forged a wonderfully musical comfort zone that is at home with itself and, as a result, is capable of taking on tunes from afar. This recording is a pleasant excursion through a variety of genres including Irish harp and fiddle music, English polkas, hornpipes and folk melodies, as well as some American gems. With much success, she interprets compositions of other traditionalists such as Bill Monroe, Russ Barenberg, David Grier and yours truly (Walt Michael). All of this is done with an ease which belies the difficulty of mastering such intricate and wide-ranging music. The result is a recording that will spend a lot of time on your cd player, and a new set of tunes to dance through your head for a long time to come. Well done, Linda!"
